Conference Policy1: The reduced “Spouse/Domestic Partner” registration fee applies only to spouses and domestic partners who reside in the same household. It does not apply to roommates, siblings, parents, children or other relatives of the primary registrant. The Conference reserves the right to verify the status of anyone registering in this fashion.
How do I register my spouse/domestic partner?
Each person must be registered separately. On the registration selection page there is room at the bottom to identify your spouse/domestic partner so that the listings will be connected.
How do I register if I am an Israeli resident?
On the Registration Form section of the REGISTRATION tab, scroll down below the chart and click on the Israeli Resident button. This will take you to the section with information necessary from Israelis and prices in NIS. For Hebrew speakers - please click on the Israeli flag on the right side of the banner which will take you to the Hebrew version of the website.
Do you accept mail-in registrations?
We cannot accommodate mail-in registrations. Registrations can be made only online or onsite.
What is the schedule for the onsite registration desk?
Registration at the hotel will open at the beginning of the Conference. Details will be available in June 2015.
May I pay by check?
We cannot accept payment by check. The only payment options are credit/debit card or bank transfer.
Which credit cards are accepted for registration payment?
We accept only American Express, Diners, MasterCard, Visa and Isracard.
What is the conference cancellation/refund policy?
Refund of payments made towards conference registration fees will be refunded only if written notification reaches our conference planner - Ortra Ltd - as follows:
• Prior to 1 March 2015: Full refund less USD $30 handling fee.
• 1 March to 13 June 2015: 50% refund.
• After 13 June 2015: No refund.
Cancellation Insurance
Registrants can purchase Cancellation Insurance affording a full refund of their registration fee and accommodation payments (excluding optional items) for $50. Thisis fee is non-refundable and must be purchased within 7 days from the date of registration and no later than 6 June 2015. This Cancellation Insurance is applicable with written notification of cancellation to:Ortra Ltd. by July 1 2015, at 12 noon Israel time (GMT +2) and is valid for any and all circumstances. To purchase, place a check next to this option on the registration form and the amount of the insurance will be added to your total charges.
How do I get a discount code?
Accepted speakers should have received their discount code after completing the Speaker Agreement. Unauthorized use of the discount code will result in cancelled registration(s).
How is my registration/payment confirmed?
A confirmation e-mail will be sent to your designated email with a summary of your registration and payment.
What are the optional fee-based items?
Optional fee-based items are the Shabbaton, tours, computer workshops, conference sponsored meals (Breakfasts with Experts, SIG luncheons, Banquet) and special items (e.g. printed syllabus) not covered in the registration fee. These items must be purchased separately. Note that some items have deadlines. Registration, information, fees and payment deadlines are now available. Optional fee-based items are available only for those attending the conference in person.
What is the Shabbaton ?
The Shabbaton takes place 3-4 July 2015 with the Ramada Hotel as our home base. The program includes special lectures, tours, meals and experiencing Shabbat in Jerusalem. The cost of the Shabbaton is $250 and registration is available on the Registration Form. More details...
What is Exploration Sunday ?
On 5 July 5 2015, choose from a variety of itineraries. This special program will provide early conference arrivals an opportunity to experience some of the unique aspects of Israel. Details and prices of each trip are located in the PROGRAM tab - Exploration Sunday section of the website and we are taking reservations! Tours will depend on minimum registration. More details...
How do I update my registration?
To update your registration, enter the same e-mail and password designated on your registration form. Forgot your password? Click on “forgot your password?” and receive an e-mail with your password.
How do I reserve my room at the Ramada Hotel?
Reservations at the conference rate must be made only only through the link on the registration form and after you have completed your Conference registration.
Is there a Shabbat elevator at the hotel?
There is a Shabbat elevator at the Ramada and Royal.
Is there parking available at the hotel?
There are a certain number of parking spots available at the hotel for people coming to the Conference. After the parking lot is filled there is paid parking available on the street.
How do I submit my research names/locations to the Family Finder?
The Family Finder will be part of the registration process.
