Dr. Susan Pond AM, MBBS MD, FTSE is Adjunct Professor in Sustainability at the
United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney. Her interests include
accelerating the transition of the transportation sector to alternative fuels, particularly of
sectors with critical needs, such as aviation, mining, defence and shipping. Dr. Pond is
an experienced company director with a successful career and track record in senior
leadership and executive roles in the corporate and university sectors. Currently, Dr
Pond is Vice President of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering,
Member of the Board of Innovation Australia and Director of Biotron Ltd.
