   Larry C. Lands, MD, PhD

Larry C. Lands, MD, PhD, is a tenured full professor in the Department of Pediatrics of McGill University, Director of Pediatric Respiratory Medicine and Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at the Montreal Children’s Hospital-McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).

He is an investigator in the Meakins-Christie Laboratories of the MUHC Research Institute and a member of the Institute's management committee of the Translational Respiratory Research Program. His research interests focus on modulation of inflammation and enhancing functional capacity, with over 100 peer-reviewed articles.

He is on the editorial board of Paediatric Respiratory Reviews. Dr. Lands is Vice-Chair of Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s Research Advisory Council. He is Chair of the Research Committee of the Canadian Thoracic Society and Associate Director of the Respiratory Health Research Network of the Fonds de Recherche du Québec-Santé. Dr. Lands leads the Adjudication Committee for Fellowships and Studentships of the Canadian Lung Association and Canadian Respiratory Research Network, where he is a member of the Training Committee.

 

      Noah Lechtzin                     

Noah Lechtzin (pronounced LEXIN) is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is the Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program at Johns Hopkins.  Dr. Lechtzin was born and raised in Philadelphia.  He received his medical degree from Temple University in 1994, where he graduated 1st in his class. Dr. Lechtzin proceeded to the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for his internship and residency in Internal Medicine.  He completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins and received a Masters degree in epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2000. He joined the Department of Medicine faculty at Johns Hopkins in 2001 and has joint appointments in the Department of Epidemiology and Neurology.

Dr. Lechtzin is a clinical researcher with experience conducting clinical trials and observational studies evaluating patient outcomes in cystic fibrosis. He has received numerous research grants and has over 75 peer reviewed publications.
